Mistakes
It never bothers me for people to make a mistake if they had a reason for what they did. If they can tell me “I thought this and reasoned so and came to that decision,” if they obviously went through a reasonable thought process to get to where they did, even if it didn’t turn out right, that’s OK. The ones you want to watch out for are the ones who can’t even tell you why they did what they did. – Frank Gaines
How to live to be 85 years old
Despise nothing except meanness, selfishness, and corruption. Fear nothing except for cowardice, disloyalty, and indifference. Covet nothing that is my neighbors except his kindness of heart and his gentleness of spirit. Think many, many times of family, then friends, and if possible, never of my enemies. Laugh often. As I see it, age is not a question of years. It is a state of mind. You are as young as your faith and today, I think I have more faith in my fellow man, in my country, and in my creator than I have ever had. - Michael J. Benedum

“Humility… To believe that what we don’t know and understand is infinitely more than what we do know and understand”. Unknown
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. – Winston Churchill
“Be willing to make decisions. That’s the most important quality in a good leader. Don’t fall victim to what I call the ready-aim, aim, aim, aim syndrome. You must be willing to fire”. – T. Boone Pickens
